He currently serves on the board of directors for the Edison Electric Institute and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. He is a member of the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Sports Backers and Communities in Schools of Virginia as well as the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors.
Blue is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Yale Law School. He also earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
