John has responsibility for the global Line Human Resources team. Within his role, he leads the Company’s HR operations, with direct functional support of the Segments, Functions, and ABOs. 

The first fifteen years of his Cummins career were spent in a variety of Line Human Resources leadership roles. He led HR for manufacturing facilities in the Engine Business and Components Segment as well as providing HR leadership for both the Fuel Systems and Filtration business units. He subsequently spent six years within the Corporate Compensation and Benefits team, leading the Global Broad Based and Executive Compensation functions. In his most recent role, John led HR strategy, technology, functional excellence, and the Human Resources aspects of Company-wide growth projects, including Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Industrial and Labor relations, from the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana.  

He grew up near St. Louis MO, and currently resides in Columbus Indiana with his wife Natasha and their two children, Gus (15) and Rosie (11). John and his family enjoy travel, baseball, and camping. He currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for The Love Chapel, a local Columbus non-for-profit agency providing transitional living, financial, and nutritional support.
