Mike Triplett serves as President of Cigna's U.S. Commercial business. He leads the company’s U.S. employer group business market strategy, sales, specialty product distribution, and local community engagement initiatives. In this role, Triplett is responsible for commercial business growth. He also leads Cigna's network partnerships and performance initiatives, driving Cigna's work with local hospitals, health care facilities, and physicians to improve affordability, enhance quality and enable a simpler, more personalized customer experience.
Since joining Cigna in 1998, Triplett has held various leadership and management positions. Prior to his current role, he was President of Regional Segment, Payer Solutions and Government and Taft-Hartley. Before joining Cigna, he held numerous sales and leadership positions with IBM for 14 years.
Triplett received national recognition from Savoy Magazine as one of the Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America in 2014, 2018, and 2020. He also partners with small, minority- and women-owned local businesses to help them accelerate their growth. He is active on the National Corporate Council for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators.
