He served as Central’s Chairman from February 2018 to September 2019 and was Director of Special Projects for Central from October 2006 through March 2023. From 1994 through September 2006, he was Pennington Seed, Inc.'s President and Chief Executive Officer, a business acquired by Central in 1998. Mr. Pennington also serves on the boards of several private companies and was a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Georgia from July 2005 through June 2023.
