Alex Jessett oversees all real estate developments, acquisitions, and construction, as well as all capital markets activity, legal, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, risk management, and tax compliance for Camden. Since joining Camden in 1999, Alex has held various roles and has been responsible for over $25 billion of debt and equity issuances and structured real estate transactions.

Before joining Camden, Alex began his career in real estate at Comerica Bank of Texas in the Real Estate Lending department.

Alex is Chairman Emeritus for the Board of Directors of Legacy Community Health Services, one of the nation's largest Federally Qualified Health Centers. He also serves as Treasurer and is on the Executive Committee, and Board of Directors for Central Houston, Inc. Alex is a member of the Executive Council of the Center for Real Estate Finance at The University of Texas and serves as Vice Chairman on the Executive Advisory Board for the University of Houston's Bauer College of Business Real Estate Program. Alex has been a guest lecturer and formal mentor for students pursuing their MBA at both The University of Texas and the University of Houston. He is also a graduate of the Center for Houston's Future. Alex received his MBA in Finance from the University of Houston, where he earned the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence and his BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
