Thomas-Graham’s career began with McKinsey & Company, where she served as partner from 1989 to 1999. She moved on in 1999 to become the CEO of CNBC and CNBC.com, a position she held until 2005. While at CNBC, Thomas-Graham helped start the company’s financial news website.
From 2005 to 2007, Thomas-Graham worked at Liz Claiborne Inc. (now part of Tapestry) where she served as group president of men’s and women’s better, moderate, and mid-tier apparel and was responsible for 18 apparel brands. After leaving Liz Clairborne, she spent 2008 to 2010 as the managing director for investment firm Angelo, Gordon, & Co. where she was responsible for the firm’s private equity investments in retail and consumer markets.
Thomas-Graham currently serves on a number of boards, including Peloton Interactive, The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Compass. She is the author of three suspense novels set at Harvard—the Ivy League Mystery Series—published by Simon and Schuster. Thomas-Graham earned her B.A. in economics from Harvard University, and a joint M.B.A. and J.D. from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School.
