Before joining MetLife, Spehar spent 23 years as an equity research analyst with a focus on insurance companies, including approximately 19 years as a sell-side equity research analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch covering the life insurance industry. While at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Spehar was repeatedly selected for Institutional Investor magazine’s annual All-America Research Team.
Spehar received a bachelor’s degree in management from Case Western Reserve University as well as an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
