Marc Grandisson was promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer of ACGL on March 3, 2018 and was appointed to our Board in March 2018. From March 2018 to December 2020, he was also President of ACGL, and from January 2016 to March 2018, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of ACGL. Prior to that role, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group from 2005 to 2015, and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Worldwide Mortgage Group from February 2014 to December 2015. He joined Arch Reinsurance Ltd. in October 2001 as Chief Actuary. He subsequently held various leadership roles, including Chief Underwriting Officer and Actuary, President and Chief Operating Officer, eventually being named President and Chief Executive Officer at Arch Reinsurance Ltd. Prior to joining Arch, he held various positions with the Berkshire Hathaway Group, F&G Re, Inc. and Tillinghast/Towers Perrin. He holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from Université Laval in Canada and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
