Daniel Riccio is the vice president of engineering for Apple, a position he assumed in early 2021.

He has had a hand in every version of the company’s iPads, from the first generation on. In 2012, he was named senior vice president of hardware engineering, a role he held until January 2021.

Prior to his career at Apple, Riccio was a senior manager of mechanical engineering for Compaq, where he was responsible for the mechanical design of the company’s consumer PC products. Riccio earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
