William Gerald Jurgensen serves as Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Jurgensen was appointed Chairman of the Board in September 2017. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer and a director of Nationwide Financial Services, Inc., a diversified insurance and financial services organization, and its parent, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, from 2000 until his retirement in 2009. He also served as Chief Executive Officer and a director of several other companies within the Nationwide enterprise, which is comprised of Nationwide Financial, Nationwide Mutual, Nationwide Mutual Fire and all of their respective subsidiaries and affiliates. Before joining Nationwide, Mr. Jurgensen served as an Executive Vice President with Bank One Corporation (now a part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.), where he was responsible for corporate banking products, including capital markets, international banking and cash management, and later served as Chief Executive Officer for First Card, First Chicago Corporation’s credit card subsidiary. Mr. Jurgensen currently serves on the board of directors of American International Group, Inc., where he has served since May 2013. He previously served on the boards of directors of Conagra from August 2002 to November 2016 and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company from May 2009 until June 2013.
