Hans-Bernd Veltmaat was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer in January 2012. Mr. Veltmaat is responsible for delivering all products, in time and at the lowest possible cost with the highest quality, to support AGCO’s global sales organization. From July 2008 to December 2011, Mr. Veltmaat held the position of Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality for AGCO Corporation and was responsible for strengthening the company's commitment to continual improvements through workforce training and development programs, facility upgrades and manufacturing process improvements.

Mr. Veltmaat joined AGCO from Alba AG, one of Germany's leading waste treatment and recycling companies where he served as Group Executive Vice President of Recycling. Prior to working at Alba AG, Mr. Veltmaat gained experience in Agricultural equipment manufacturing during his 11 year employment with Claas KGaA in Germany. As Group Executive Vice President of Claas KGaA and member of the Claas Group Executive Board, Hans-Bernd was responsible for seven international agricultural machinery production companies and his achievements included the start–up of a new factory for combine harvesters in Krasnodar, Russia and the implementation of a modern production system into the manufacturing facilities. Mr. Veltmaat spent four years as Executive Vice President, Harvesting for Claas and seven years as Managing Director of the Claas Fertigungstechnik Group, an automobile and aircraft technology manufacturer. Prior to Claas, Mr. Veltmaat enjoyed 17 years in Sales and Managing Director positions working for ABB.

Mr. Veltmaat holds an electrical engineering degree from Fachhochschule Braunschweig in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Mr. Veltmaat serves as a member of the Industry Executive Advisory Board of the Executive MBA in Supply Chain Management at the ETH Zurich.

The company markets its products under the Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson, Precision Planting, and Valtra brands through a network of independent dealers and distributors.
