As chief executive officer for Accenture North America—the company's largest market—Jimmy Etheredge inspires 65,000-plus Accenture people in the United States and Canada to harness technology and human ingenuity to drive value and responsible change for clients and communities. He is also a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.

Passionate about doing well and doing good, Jimmy encourages businesses to improve business value while simultaneously using their power and platforms to create opportunity for all. At Accenture, Jimmy drives the North American business' bottom line, while simultaneously taking aggressive steps to improve the quality—and equality—of people's lives. He champions programs for mental health and he fiercely advocates for people in under-served communities. For example, Jimmy actively supports and sponsors Accenture's national professional apprenticeship program, which helps people from diverse backgrounds gain the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy. To date, the program has created more than 1,000 jobs at Accenture for participants.

Jimmy joined Accenture in 1985, became a partner in 1997 and was appointed CEO of Accenture North America in 2019. His tenure included serving as senior managing director of Accenture's US Southeast region, where he oversaw Accenture's business across 10 states, including major markets such as Atlanta, Charlotte and Washington, D.C. In that role, Jimmy brought innovation to clients, attracted top talent and strengthened the company's impact in communities. He also extended Accenture's innovation hub network by creating an innovation incubator at Georgia Tech and expanding Accenture's hub in metro Washington D.C. Earlier in his career, he led Accenture's largest North American operating unit, serving the retail, consumer goods, travel, manufacturing and life sciences industries.

In 2020, Jimmy earned a spot on the "Power Players of Consulting" list published by Business Insider and he ranked 28th in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s "Power 100," a list of the most influential Atlantans. In 2018, he was named one of Atlanta's most admired CEOs by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. He serves on the boards of the Global Apprenticeship Network (a Switzerland-based coalition dedicated to work-readiness programs), the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Woodruff Arts Center, the Atlanta Police Foundation, the Carter Center, and the Atlanta Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

Jimmy received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He remains active with his alma mater, serving as a trustee and member of Georgia Tech's Hill Society.
